This vase is so beautiful! It is made of clear glass and has a lovely design!
Vaclav Hanus committed more than 40 years to glass in Jablonec Glassworks. He was accepted to the College of Arts and Crafts in Prague.
Hanuš soon started to work in glassworks Inwald where he worked alongside Rudolf Schrötter. Later he left for Skloexport, where he designed for over 40 years as a lead designer.
Hanuš placed great emphasis on the functionality in his work and the decor itself was not so important. But his work cannot be taken as only conservative. He implemented new procedures in technology. In terms of manufacturing technology these objects stand on the border between pressed and metallurgical glass.
This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks! There are some signs of use, as expected for a piece of that age (see photos).
